DESCRIPTION

Zeaxanthin belongs to the group of carotenoids, which are substances found in vegetables and fruit. The OmniXan Zeaxanthin contained in the product is a patented carotenoid obtained from pepper fruits. Zeaxanthin is found in the lens and retina of the eye, particularly in the macula, which is responsible for visual acuity. The most important property of carotenoids is their antioxidant effect (they neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals). Zeaxanthin (one of the carotenoids with the most powerful antioxidant properties), which accumulates mainly in the ocular tissue, supports the destruction of free radicals formed under the influence of daylight rays and the oxidative damage they trigger.
