What makes Swanson Full Effect Hair Thickening unique is Keranat, a patented and clinically tested ingredient derived from millet, which is the source of a rare molecule called miliacin. Miliacin is a triterpenoid that stimulates the production of keratin, a structural protein found in hair, skin, and nails. Keranat uses a lipid capsule to enhance the bioavailability of miliacin, which has been shown to improve scalp health and promote hair growth, thickness, and volume in women.
Each serving contains 2,000 mcg of biotin - a member of the B-vitamin family commonly referred to as the 'beauty nutrient' due to its positive effects on hair, skin, and nails - and 11 mg of zinc, a nutrient essential for cell division and nutrient absorption specifically in the hair follicle during hair growth. Full Effect also contains horsetail, a plant source of silica that helps nourish the hair follicle and increase hair thickness and volume.
