Shea butter is a vegetable fat derived from the parka shea fruit, commonly known as the shea tree. Naturally, this plant is found in the regions of southern and central Africa. The indigenous people of these areas have used shea butter both in cooking and for cosmetic purposes for hundreds of years. In our regions, this fat is a component of many cosmetics, but its use in the culinary arts is very limited.
Unrefined shea butter is naturally derived from dried shea seeds without the use of high temperatures. As a result, it retains its valuable values such as heat-sensitive vitamins and EFAs.
In cosmetology, both butter and oils of vegetable origin are widely used. Both resources differ in their state of aggregation. The first of the two plant products has a firm consistency. However, it melts easily in contact with the skin, making it much easier to spread. Shea butter can be used directly as a cosmetic or as an ingredient in at-home personal care blends.
INGREDIENTS
Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) butter

APPLICATION
Unrefined shea butter is an extremely universal cosmetic. It can be used as an after-bath moisturizer or as a face cream. It is excellent for reducing dark circles and puffiness under the eyes. Butter can also be used as an ingredient in face masks. It is also worthwhile as a protective measure before and after sunbathing. In summer, the butter protects against the sun and UV rays, while in winter it forms a lipid film on the skin that protects it from drying out due to frost.
Shea butter is also perfect for hair care. It can be used as a rinse-off hair mask or as a conditioning serum for the ends of the hair. The cosmetic is especially recommended for people undergoing hairdressing treatments such as coloring, permanent and straightening.
Shea butter can be used not only as a cosmetic, but also as an ingredient in many dishes. It is worth adding to sauces and marinades. However, avoid exposing it to high temperatures as this will significantly affect its nutritional values.
