Ashwagandha, also known as winter cherry or Indian ginseng, is a plant that is a source of numerous active compounds, including valuable Vitanolides. The preparation contains an extract from the root of Withania somnifera, standardized to contain 7% Vitanolides. The active ingredient was obtained by extracting the root of the plant.

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) has been used in Indian medicine for thousands of years and has adaptogenic properties, meaning it mobilizes the body to fight oxidative stress, stimulates the immune system, positively affects cognitive processes, and improves mood and well-being. Ashwagandha also shows good results in lowering cortisol levels and regulating thyroid hormones (the plant has a stimulating effect on an underactive thyroid, i.e., hypothyroidism). Ashwagandha has been shown to support adrenal function, thus helping to overcome adrenal fatigue and chronic stress.
