Buckwheat is a plant of the knotweed family native to the regions of East and Central Asia. It was brought to Poland by the Tatars, which is why it is sometimes referred to as Tartars. The grains of this unique plant can boast, among other things, a large content of high-quality protein, which is the basic building block of muscles and tissues, fiber that supports the intestines and essential B vitamins for the proper functioning of the body. Flour from ground buckwheat does not contain any allergenic Gluten, it has a low glycemic index and is also rich in mineral salts - potassium, phosphorus, selenium, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and copper. Recommended for baking bread, rolls, cakes and pasta. It is also good as an accompaniment to biscuits and pancakes or as a coating for poultry, fish and vegetables.
