Like vitamin D, vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of healthy bones. The human body is not able to synthesize vitamin K2 itself, so the need for this vitamin is mainly met through diet and to a lesser extent through synthesis by intestinal bacteria. The preparation D-Vitum forte 2000 IE K2 contains vitamin K2 - menaquinone-7 (MK-7). This is important because it is precisely this chemical form of vitamin K that is involved in bone metabolism.
D-Vitum forte 2000 IE K2 contains linseed oil with a high content of omega-3 fatty acids, including alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Alpha-linolenic acid helps maintain proper blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 2 g ALA.
