Gesunde, natürliche Süßigkeiten – wie man sie zu Hause zubereitet

A life without sweets is hard to imagine. Even people who are watching their weight or want to eat healthily sometimes have cravings for something sweet. Unfortunately, the sweets sold in stores are anything but healthy. They usually contain a sea of sugar, glucose-fructose syrup and a lot of unnecessary chemicals. Even those that are labelled as fit, diet-friendly and healthy often contain artificial sweeteners and are often not healthy. But there is a very simple solution. The best way to prepare healthy and natural sweets is at home. Here are some healthy and simple recipes.

Millet pudding

– 2 cups of cow’s or plant milk

– 1.5 cups cooked millet groats

– Honey for sweetening (can also be agave or maple syrup)

– 2 tablespoons coconut flakes

– frozen fruit (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries, strawberries)

- Pinch of salt

Blend the pudding with honey and milk until it reaches a smooth, even consistency. If the mixture is too thick, add a little milk or water. Mix the fruit with a little honey, pour over the pudding, and finally sprinkle with coconut flakes. For a chocolate version, add a teaspoon of cocoa or carob powder while blending the millet.

The easiest oat bars in the world

– 1 cup of oatmeal

– 1 ripe banana

– a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup, agave

– any popular additives, can be raisins, cranberries, dates, coconut flakes, cinnamon, seeds or seeds, etc.

Simply mix all the ingredients thoroughly and pour them into a cake pan. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes. Once cooled, cut into bars and you're done.

Nut truffles

– approx. 100 g of your favorite unsalted nuts (peanuts, walnuts, cashews…)

– 1 teaspoon of cocoa or carob

– 4 tablespoons of honey

– 2 tablespoons peanut butter

– 1/3 cup water

- Pinch of salt

Blend nuts, honey, peanut butter, cocoa, and salt until relatively smooth, gradually adding water. Form the resulting mixture into small truffle-shaped balls. The finished balls can be rolled in your favorite toppings, such as coconut flakes, ground nuts, or cocoa. Finally, refrigerate the truffles for about 20-30 minutes.

Chocolate shake

– 2 bananas

– 1 soft avocado

– 2 teaspoons of cocoa (or carob)

- 1 cup cow's or plant milk

Blend the peeled bananas and avocado until smooth, add the remaining ingredients, and blend again until a smooth consistency is achieved. If the shake is too thick, you can add a little water.

Homemade lollipops for children

– Fruit juice (preferably homemade, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry)

– 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

– half a lemon

– Skewers or ice cream sticks

- Silicone bowl

Simmer the syrup with honey in a pan for about 15 minutes, adding lemon juice. When the syrup thickens, pour it into a silicone tray and form small circles into which we insert the sticks. After about 15 minutes, when the lollipops have set, we can remove them from the mat and they're done. The lollipops will have a slightly gel-like consistency.

Healthy sweets made at home not only satisfy our cravings for something sweet, but also provide us with valuable and healthy nutrients. They're also a healthy alternative to store-bought bars, gummies, and lollipops that can be offered to children.
